Returns & Exchanges Policy
Last updated:
A jersey should fit the way you want and look the way you pictured it. If something you ordered from Jersey Harbor is not right, you can send it back within 60 days of delivery, and we pay the return postage with a free return label — even if you simply changed your mind. This page covers the process side of a return or exchange: what you can send back, how to start, how the label works and what happens when your parcel reaches us. For the money side — how much is refunded, where it goes and how fast — see our Refund Policy.
Returns in one look
- Return window: 60 days from the day your order was delivered.
- What can come back: every product we sell, personalised jerseys included.
- Return postage: free — we send a return label for every approved return, including change-of-mind returns.
- Exchanges: a different size or colour of the same product, handled as a return plus a new item.
- Refund timing: within 7 days of your return reaching us.
- How to start: email support@jerseyharbor.shop; we reply within 24 hours on business days.
1. Sixty days, counted from delivery
The 60 days start on the day your parcel is delivered, not the day you ordered. You only need to contact us within those 60 days to open the return. That gives you time to try a jersey on at home, wear it once around the house, compare two sizes, or wait until the family gets together to see whether everyone’s jerseys match.
If your order was a gift, the same 60 days apply from the day the gift was delivered. The person who received it can contact us directly with the order number, or ask the person who ordered to do it.
2. What you can send back
Every Jersey Harbor product can be returned within the window: full-button, two-button and sleeveless jerseys, youth and toddler jerseys, the family jerseys, hoodies and tees, caps, the bleacher blanket, the scorebook tote, mugs, the pillow and the tumbler. What we ask depends on the reason.
| Reason | Condition we ask for | Photos needed | Return postage |
|---|---|---|---|
| Changed your mind, wrong size chosen, colour not as hoped | Unwashed and unworn outside, tags and packaging where possible | No | Free label from us |
| Arrived damaged (torn, stained, chipped, misprinted) | Any condition | Yes | Free, and often no return needed |
| We sent the wrong item, size or colour | Any condition | Yes, including the size label | Free, and often no return needed |
| Personalisation printed differently from your order | Any condition | Yes, showing the lettering | Free, and often no return needed |
A word about personalised jerseys
Jerseys with a name, number or front word are made for one person, and we cannot sell them to anyone else once they come back. They are still covered by the same 60-day window. Because we print exactly what you type in the personalisation fields, and we do not send a proof first, the best protection is a careful look at the live preview and your order confirmation email. If you spot a typo — say MACKENZIE should have been MCKENZIE — email us within 24 hours of ordering and we can usually fix it before production; see Cancel or Change an Order.
3. Starting a return, step by step
- Email us. Write to support@jerseyharbor.shop or use Submit a Ticket. Include your order number, which item or items you are returning, the reason, and whether you would like a refund, store credit or an exchange.
- Add photos if something is wrong. For damage, a wrong item or a printing problem, attach two or three clear photos: the whole item, a close-up of the problem and the shipping label.
- Receive your return details. We reply within 24 hours on business days with your return approval, the return address and a free return label.
- Pack it. Fold the item, put it in a bag or box that will protect it, and write your order number on a slip of paper inside.
- Send it. Attach the label and drop the parcel off as described in our email. Keep your receipt or drop-off confirmation until the return is complete.
Please contact us before sending anything back. A parcel that arrives without notice is much harder to match to an order, and that slows everything down.
4. The free return label
Jersey Harbor pays the return postage on every approved return, including returns where you simply changed your mind. You do not need to buy postage or pay a fee. If a label cannot be issued for your location for any reason, tell us what you paid to send the item back with a tracked service and we will talk it through with you before you post it. We do not charge restocking fees.
Please send your return back soon after you receive your label so it reaches us while the details are fresh. If anything delays you — travel, illness, a long tournament weekend — just let us know.
5. Exchanging for another size or colour
Size swaps are the most common reason people write to us. A youth YL that turned out to be too roomy, an adult jersey that needs to go from L to M, a cream jersey you would rather have in navy. To exchange:
- tell us the size or colour you want instead when you start the return;
- send the original item back with the free label;
- we arrange the replacement in the size or colour you chose.
If the new size has a different price (for example moving from XL to 2XL, which adds $3), we explain the difference before anything is charged or refunded. For a different product altogether, the simplest route is a return for a refund or store credit plus a new order. Personalised jerseys can be exchanged too; the new jersey is printed with the same name and number unless you tell us otherwise.
6. Damaged, wrong or misprinted items
If a parcel arrives with a problem, please tell us as soon as you can after delivery; damaged and incorrect items are always covered within the 60-day window. Send your order number and photos. In many cases we do not need the item back and will arrange a replacement or a refund straight away. If we do need it back, the return label is free. Examples we handle this way:
- a back number that came out smudged or cracked on arrival;
- a name printed with a different spelling from the one in your order;
- a jersey in navy when you ordered red, or in M when you ordered L;
- a mug or tumbler that arrived chipped or dented;
- a missing item from a multi-item family order.
7. What happens when your return arrives
When your parcel reaches us, we check it against your return request and email you to confirm. Your refund is issued within 7 days of the return reaching us, to your original payment method or as store credit if you asked for that. Store credit never expires. If you asked for an exchange, the replacement is prepared and shipped, and you receive the usual shipping email. The full detail of refund amounts is on the Refund Policy page.
8. Orders that have not shipped yet
If your order has not left us yet, you may not need a return at all. Within 24 hours of ordering, you can cancel or change the size, colour, personalisation or address free of charge. See Cancel or Change an Order.
9. Special cases from the bleachers
Returning part of a family order
A family order often mixes adult, youth and toddler jerseys, a cap or two and maybe a blanket. You can return any single item from it, or several, without sending back the rest. List the items you are returning in your email; if some are personalised and some are not, say which, so we can match each piece to the right line of your order. Each returned item is refunded on its own line, and the rest of the order stays exactly as it is.
Returns from Canada, Australia and New Zealand
The 60-day window and the free return label apply in all four countries we ship to. Returns from outside the United States travel further, so they can take longer to reach us; the refund clock starts when the parcel arrives. When you send a return from abroad, keep the drop-off receipt, and if the post office asks you to fill in a customs form, describe the contents simply as a returned item, for example “returned baseball jersey”.
Gift returns
If you received a Jersey Harbor jersey as a gift and it does not fit, you can exchange it for another size without the giver needing to know. Write to us with the order number from the packing slip or gift note, or ask the giver for it. For a refund on a gift, the money goes back to the person who paid, unless they ask us to give store credit to you instead.
10. Three returns, start to finish
The size swap. A father orders the Baseball Dad two-button jersey in L. It fits across the chest but the sleeves feel long. He emails on day 12 after delivery, asks for an M, receives a free label the next business day, posts the L, and the M is prepared once his return reaches us.
The colour rethink. A grandmother orders a cream family jersey with GRANDPA on the front, then decides navy would match the rest of the row. Production has already happened, so she uses the return window: the cream jersey comes back with a free label and a navy one with the same front word, name and number goes out.
The smudged number. A youth jersey printed with the number 3 arrives with a smudge across the digit. The parent sends two photos the day it arrives. No return is needed; a replacement with the same name and number is arranged, and the parent keeps us posted when it arrives.
11. Caring for an item before you decide
If you are not sure about the fit, try the jersey on indoors over the clothes you would normally wear under it, and keep it away from sunscreen, grass and infield dirt until you decide. Leave tags attached where there are any. Items returned for a change of mind should not have been washed or worn to a game, so that the next step is simple for both of us.
12. Need a hand with a return?
Email support@jerseyharbor.shop and we reply within 24 hours on business days. Before you write, the FAQs, the Size Guide and our Shipping & Delivery page may already have the answer.
Returns are part of buying clothes online, and we would rather you send a jersey back than keep one that does not fit. Ask us anything before or during a return; there is no such thing as a silly sizing question.
