Privacy Policy
Last updated:
This Privacy Policy explains what personal information Jersey Harbor collects when you visit jerseyharbor.shop or place an order, why we collect it, who we share it with, how long we keep it and the choices you have. Jersey Harbor is the business responsible for your information: Jersey Harbor, 4635 W Aberdeen Pl, Littleton, CO 80123, US. If you have any question about your privacy, email support@jerseyharbor.shop.
Privacy in one look
- We collect what we need to take your order, print any personalisation, deliver it and help you afterwards.
- We do not sell your personal information and we do not rent mailing lists.
- Payments are handled by the payment provider shown at checkout; we never see or store full card numbers.
- Photos you send us with a support request are deleted 30 days after delivery of your order.
- You can ask to see, correct or delete your information by emailing us.
1. The information we collect
1.1 Information you give us when you order
When you place an order, we collect your name, email address, billing address and shipping address, and, if you give it, a phone number for delivery. We also keep what you ordered: the products, sizes, colours, quantities and prices. If you create an account, we store your login email and a securely hashed password.
1.2 Personalisation details
Many of our jerseys can carry a name on the back, a number and a front word. Whatever you type in those fields — for example CARTER, 12 and a family name on the front — is stored with your order so it can be printed exactly as you typed it and shown on your order confirmation. Personalisation often includes a child’s first name or a nickname. We use it only to make and deliver that order and to answer questions about it. Please do not enter anything in those fields that you would not want printed on a jersey.
1.3 Information you send to support
When you email us or submit a ticket, we keep your message, your email address and anything you attach, such as photos of a jersey that arrived with a smudged number. Photos sent with a support request are deleted 30 days after delivery of the order (or of a replacement, if one was sent), because by then we no longer need them.
1.4 Information collected automatically
When you browse the site, our servers and our security and delivery network record technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, the pages you request and the date and time of each request. This is used to deliver pages quickly, keep the site secure and understand technical problems. We do not run third-party advertising trackers on the site.
1.5 Information from others
The payment provider you use at checkout tells us whether your payment succeeded and gives us limited details needed for our records, but never your full card number or account password. Carriers may send status updates about your parcel.
2. Why we use your information
| Purpose | Information used |
|---|---|
| Taking and producing your order, including printing names, numbers and front words | Order details, personalisation fields |
| Delivering your order and sending order and shipping emails | Name, shipping address, email address, phone if given |
| Handling cancellations, returns, exchanges and refunds | Order details, messages, photos you send |
| Answering your questions | Email address, messages, order details |
| Keeping the site secure and preventing fraud | Technical information, order and payment status |
| Keeping business and accounting records | Order and payment records |
We do not send marketing newsletters. The emails you receive from us are about your orders and your support requests. If we ever start a newsletter, it will be opt-in only, with an unsubscribe link in every message, and this policy will be updated first.
If you are in a place whose privacy law asks us to name a legal basis, we rely on performing our contract with you (orders, delivery, returns, support), our legitimate interests (site security, fraud prevention, running the store well) and legal obligations (business records).
3. Who we share information with
We share personal information only with service providers who help us run the store, and only the part they need:
- Production and fulfilment partners who prepare and print your items, who receive the order details and personalisation needed to make them;
- Carriers, who receive the name, shipping address and, if given, phone number needed to deliver your parcel;
- The payment provider you choose at checkout, which processes your payment under its own privacy policy;
- Our website hosting, security and email providers, which store and deliver the site and our emails.
These providers may use the information only to provide their service to us. We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or the safety of our customers, or as part of a business transfer such as a sale of the store, in which case this policy would continue to apply to your information. We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising.
4. Your information at each step of an order
It can help to see where your details go during a single order. Take a parent who orders a custom youth jersey with the name MILLER and the number 3, shipped to a grandparent in Canada:
- Checkout: the parent’s name, email and billing address, the grandparent’s shipping address and the personalisation are saved with the order. Payment details are entered with the payment provider.
- Confirmation: an order email goes to the parent’s address, listing MILLER and 3 exactly as they will be printed.
- Production: the production partner receives the jersey details and the personalisation, but not the payment details.
- Delivery: the carrier receives the grandparent’s name and address so the parcel can be delivered.
- Afterwards: the order record stays for our business records; any photo sent with a question is deleted 30 days after delivery.
5. The emails we send you
We send emails that relate to your own orders and requests: the order confirmation, a shipping notice, replies to your support emails, and confirmations of cancellations, changes, returns and refunds. These are service emails, so they do not have an unsubscribe link, but they stop once your order and any follow-up are complete. We do not add you to a newsletter list when you buy, and we do not give your address to anyone else for their marketing.
6. Cookies
The site uses a small number of cookies that are needed for it to work: they remember what is in your cart, keep you signed in to your account and protect the checkout. Our security network may also set a cookie to tell real visitors apart from automated traffic. We do not use advertising cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but if you block the essential ones, the cart and checkout will not work.
7. How long we keep information
| Information | How long |
|---|---|
| Order records, including personalisation | As long as needed for the order, returns and our business and accounting records |
| Photos you send us | Deleted 30 days after delivery of the order or replacement |
| Support emails | As long as useful for resolving your request and any follow-up |
| Account login | Until you ask us to close the account |
| Technical server logs | A short period for security and troubleshooting |
When information is no longer needed, we delete it or make it anonymous.
8. How we protect information
Every page of jerseyharbor.shop is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection. Access to order information is limited to the people and providers who need it to fulfil and support your order. Card and account details for payments are entered with the payment provider, not stored by us. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information and will tell you if a breach affects you where the law requires it.
9. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- ask what personal information we hold about you and get a copy;
- correct information that is wrong, such as a misspelt name or an old address;
- ask us to delete your information, unless we must keep it for business records;
- object to or restrict some uses of your information;
- withdraw consent where we rely on it.
To make a request, email support@jerseyharbor.shop from the address linked to your order or account. We may ask you to confirm a detail of your order so we know the request really comes from you. We reply within 24 hours on business days and complete requests within the time the law requires. You will never be treated differently for using your rights. Residents of Colorado, California and other US states with privacy laws, and of Canada, Australia and New Zealand, can use this same email for any request under their local law.
10. Children
Our youth and toddler jerseys are bought by adults for children. The store is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Personalisation fields may contain a child’s first name or nickname entered by a parent or relative; that information is used only to print and deliver the order. If you believe a child has given us personal information directly, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Visitors from outside the United States
Jersey Harbor is based in the United States and our providers may process information in the United States and other countries. If you order from Canada, Australia or New Zealand, your information is transferred to and handled in those countries to fulfil your order, with the protections described in this policy.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our practices or the law change. The date at the top shows when it was last updated. If we make a significant change, such as starting a newsletter or adding a new kind of tracking, we will show a notice on the site before it takes effect.
13. Contact us about privacy
Email support@jerseyharbor.shop with any privacy question or request; we reply within 24 hours on business days. Related pages: Terms of Service, Payment Methods, Contact Us and our Intellectual Property Policy.
