Payment Methods
Last updated:
This page explains how paying for a Jersey Harbor order works: where you see the payment options, what currency you pay in, when you are charged, how your payment details are protected, what to do if a payment does not go through and how money comes back to you after a cancellation or return. The payment options available for your order are always shown at checkout, before you pay, so the checkout page is the final word on which ones you can use.
Paying in one look
- Payment options: shown at checkout before you confirm your order.
- Currency: all prices are in US dollars (USD).
- Total: item prices plus any size or personalisation add-ons; shipping is $0.00 to the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
- Sales tax: Jersey Harbor does not collect sales tax at checkout.
- Card details: handled by the payment provider, never stored by us.
- Refunds: issued within 7 days of a return reaching us or of a cancellation being confirmed.
1. Where you choose how to pay
After you add your jerseys to the cart and go to checkout, you enter your contact details and shipping address first. The payment section at the bottom of the checkout page then shows the payment options available for your order. You choose one, follow its steps and confirm. Your order is created only after a payment succeeds.
We do not take payment by email, by phone, by bank transfer or in cash, and we will never ask you to pay outside the checkout page. If anyone contacts you claiming to be Jersey Harbor and asks for payment another way, do not pay and forward the message to support@jerseyharbor.shop.
2. A walk through checkout
- Review the cart. Each jersey line shows its size, colour and any name, number or front word, with the add-ons included in the line price. Fix anything here before moving on.
- Contact and shipping details. Enter your email address and the shipping address. Choose the country carefully: only the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand are available.
- Shipping line. Free shipping appears automatically at $0.00.
- Payment. Choose one of the payment options shown and complete its steps.
- Confirmation. After the payment succeeds, you see an order received page and receive an order confirmation email with your order number.
If you leave checkout before paying, no order is created and nothing is charged. Your cart stays in your browser for a while, so you can come back and finish later.
3. Why you will not see payment logos around the site
Some shops show rows of payment logos in their footer. We only show what is actually offered for your order, and the place where that is shown is the checkout page itself. That way the options you see are always current and correct for your order, and there is never a logo on the site for a method you cannot use.
4. What makes up your total
The total you see before paying is built from a few simple parts. Nothing is added after you confirm.
| Part | Example | When you see it |
|---|---|---|
| Item price | Custom full-button jersey $39.99 | Product page and cart |
| Size add-on | 2XL +$3 or 3XL +$5 on adult jerseys | When you choose the size |
| Personalisation add-ons | Name on back +$6, Number on back +$4, Front script word +$5, only when filled | Next to each field and in the cart line |
| Shipping | $0.00 to the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand | Checkout |
| Sales tax | Not collected by Jersey Harbor | Checkout |
For example, an adult custom full-button jersey in 2XL with a back name and number comes to $39.99 + $3 + $6 + $4 = $52.99, with free shipping, and that is the amount shown at checkout.
5. Currency and international cards
All prices on jerseyharbor.shop are in US dollars, and you pay in US dollars. If you pay with a card or account in Canadian, Australian or New Zealand dollars, your bank or payment provider converts the amount at its own exchange rate and may add a foreign transaction fee. That conversion and any fee are set by your provider, not by us, so the amount on your statement in your own currency can differ slightly from the US dollar total. Refunds are also made in US dollars, so the converted amount can differ a little from the original charge if exchange rates have moved.
6. When you are charged
You are charged when you place your order. Because jerseys are prepared to order — sizes, colours and any personalisation — we take payment up front and start processing within 1–3 business days. If you cancel within 24 hours, or we cancel an order for any reason, you are refunded in full; see Cancel or Change an Order.
What happens to your payment when an order changes
| Change | Effect on your payment |
|---|---|
| Cancelled within 24 hours | Everything you paid is refunded within 7 days of our confirmation |
| Change that raises the price, such as M to 2XL or adding a back name | We email the difference first and only go ahead once you agree |
| Change that lowers the price, such as removing a number | The difference is refunded within 7 days of confirming the change |
| Item returned within 60 days | Refunded within 7 days of the return reaching us, or store credit if you prefer |
7. How your payment is protected
The whole of jerseyharbor.shop is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection; you can see the padlock in your browser’s address bar. Payment details are entered with the payment provider, which processes the payment under its own security standards. Jersey Harbor never sees or stores your full card number, security code or payment account password. Some payments may ask you to approve them with your bank or provider, for example with a code or an app notification; that extra step comes from your provider and protects you.
8. If a payment does not go through
Payments are sometimes declined, and it is rarely anything serious. Common reasons and fixes:
| What happened | Likely reason | What to try |
|---|---|---|
| Declined straight away | Billing address or ZIP/postal code does not match the card | Check the billing details match your statement address |
| Declined after a pause | Your bank flagged an online or international payment | Approve it in your banking app or call your bank, then try again |
| Payment window closed | The approval step timed out | Start the checkout again; no order is created until payment succeeds |
| Card expired or limit reached | Card details or available balance | Use another payment option shown at checkout |
If you see two charges for one order, or a charge without an order confirmation email, email us with the date, the amount and the email address you used. Often one of the two is only a temporary authorisation that your bank releases on its own; if a duplicate charge was actually taken, we refund it.
9. Checking an order before it ships
To protect customers from fraud, we may occasionally ask you to confirm an order by email before we process it — for example when the billing and shipping countries differ and the order is large. This is a short check, not a charge. If we cannot verify a payment, we cancel the order and refund it in full.
10. Gift orders and paying for someone else
You can pay for an order that ships to someone else: enter your own billing details and the recipient’s shipping address. The order and shipping emails go to you, not to the recipient. If a gift is returned, the refund goes back to the payment method you used, unless you ask us to give the recipient store credit instead.
11. Store credit
If you choose store credit instead of a refund after a return or cancellation, it is issued in US dollars and never expires. To use it, mention it when you place your next order or email us before ordering, and we will apply it. See our Refund Policy for how store credit is issued.
12. Refunds back to your payment method
Refunds go back to the payment method you used for the order. We issue them within 7 days of a return reaching us, or within 7 days of confirming a cancellation. After we send a refund, your bank or payment provider may take a short time to show it on your account. If you have not seen it after a few days, email us and we will share the refund details so you can check with your provider. The full rules are in our Refund Policy and Returns & Exchanges Policy.
13. Receipts and records
Your order confirmation email is your receipt. It lists every item, size, colour and personalisation, the add-ons, the $0.00 shipping line and the total paid. If you need a copy later — for a team treasurer, a family member who is paying you back, or your own records — email us with the order number and we will resend it. If you have an account on the site, your past orders are also listed under My account.
Collecting money from a group? A common approach is for one person to place the order and share the confirmation email with the others so everyone can see their own line, size add-on and personalisation add-ons. We can only refund to the payment method used for the order, so if someone in the group later returns their jersey, the refund goes to the person who paid.
14. Keeping your details safe
- We will never ask for your card number, security code, banking password or one-time codes by email.
- Never put payment details in a support email or ticket; we do not need them to help you.
- Our emails always come from an address ending in @jerseyharbor.shop.
- If you receive a suspicious message using our name, forward it to support@jerseyharbor.shop.
15. Questions about paying
Email support@jerseyharbor.shop with your order number if you have one, and we reply within 24 hours on business days. See also our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
If you are unsure whether a payment option will work for you before you order — for example because your card is issued outside the United States — send us a short email first. We will tell you what we know, and you can still decide at checkout once you see the options for your order.
Payment questions are often time-sensitive, especially right after you place an order, so put the word “Payment” and your order number in the subject line and we will look at it first.
