This guide helps you choose the right size of a Jersey Harbor jersey for an adult, a youth player or a toddler, and the right option for caps, blankets, mugs and the other accessories. It explains how to measure a shirt you already own, how the full-button, two-button and sleeveless cuts differ in fit, and what to do if a size turns out wrong. If you are still unsure after reading it, email <a href=\"mailto:support@jerseyharbor.shop\">support@jerseyharbor.shop</a> and we will help you decide.</p>\n<section class=\"policy-summary\">\n<h2>Sizing in one look</h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Adult jerseys, hoodies and tees:</strong> unisex S, M, L, XL, 2XL, 3XL (2XL +$3, 3XL +$5).</li>\n<li><strong>Youth jerseys:</strong> YS, YM, YL, YXL.</li>\n<li><strong>Toddler jerseys:</strong> 2T, 3T, 4T.</li>\n<li><strong>Caps:</strong> one size, adjustable.</li>\n<li><strong>Accessories:</strong> blanket 50 x 60 in or 60 x 80 in, pillow 18 x 18 in, mug 11 oz or 15 oz, tumbler 20 oz.</li>\n<li><strong>Wrong size?</strong> Exchange within 60 days of delivery with a free return label.</li>\n</ul>\n</section>\n<h2>1. The best way to choose: compare with a shirt you already like</h2>\n<p>The most reliable sizing tool is already in your closet. Find a short-sleeve shirt or tee that fits the wearer the way they like a jersey to fit — a little roomy, not tight — and measure it flat. Comparing that shirt with how our jerseys are cut is far more accurate than guessing from a size letter, because size labels vary from brand to brand.</p>\n<h3>How to measure a shirt flat</h3>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Lay it flat</strong> on a table or the floor, front facing up, buttons closed if it has them. Smooth out wrinkles without stretching the fabric.</li>\n<li><strong>Chest width:</strong> measure straight across, from one side seam to the other, about one inch below the armholes. This is the single most important measurement for a jersey.</li>\n<li><strong>Body length:</strong> measure from the highest point of the shoulder, next to the collar, straight down to the bottom of the hem.</li>\n<li><strong>Shoulder width:</strong> measure from one shoulder seam to the other across the back, if the shirt has set-in sleeves.</li>\n<li><strong>Write the numbers down</strong> in inches or centimetres, and note the brand and size label of the shirt you measured.</li>\n</ol>\n<p>Send those numbers with the jersey you are considering to <a href=\"mailto:support@jerseyharbor.shop\">support@jerseyharbor.shop</a>, and we will tell you which size we would suggest.</p>\n<h3>How to measure a person</h3>\n<p>If there is no shirt to compare with, measure the wearer instead. Stand relaxed, arms down. Wrap a soft tape measure around the fullest part of the chest, under the arms and across the shoulder blades, keeping it level and snug but not tight. For a child, measure over a thin tee. A jersey should be noticeably larger than the body measurement, so it hangs loose and leaves room to move.</p>\n<h2>2. Adult sizes S to 3XL</h2>\n<p>Adult jerseys, the jersey-style hoodie and the raglan tee are cut in unisex sizes. Unisex sizing generally follows traditional men&#8217;s sizing, which matters if you usually shop women&#8217;s sizes.</p>\n<table class=\"policy-table\">\n<caption>Choosing an adult unisex size</caption>\n<thead>\n<tr>\n<th scope=\"col\">If you usually wear</th>\n<th scope=\"col\">For a classic jersey fit</th>\n<th scope=\"col\">For a closer fit</th>\n</tr>\n</thead>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td>Men&#8217;s or unisex tees in size M</td>\n<td>M</td>\n<td>S</td>\n</tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Men&#8217;s or unisex tees in size L</td>\n<td>L</td>\n<td>M</td>\n</tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Women&#8217;s tees in size M</td>\n<td>S or M</td>\n<td>S</td>\n</tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Women&#8217;s tees in size L or XL</td>\n<td>M or L</td>\n<td>M</td>\n</tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Between two sizes</td>\n<td>The larger size</td>\n<td>The smaller size</td>\n</tr>\n</tbody>\n</table>\n<p>These are general guides based on how unisex sizing usually compares, not measurements of our garments. Comparing with a shirt you own, as described in section 1, is always more accurate. Sizes 2XL and 3XL carry an add-on of $3 and $5, which you see on the product page before adding to the cart.</p>\n<h2>3. How the three cuts fit</h2>\n<h3>Full-button jerseys</h3>\n<p>The full-button jersey opens all the way down, sits straight through the body and has the most room of the three cuts. Most people take their usual tee size. Because you can wear it open over a tee, it is also forgiving if you are between sizes. Browse <a href=\"/collections/full-button-jerseys/\">full-button jerseys</a>.</p>\n<h3>Two-button henley jerseys</h3>\n<p>The two-button jersey pulls on over the head and tends to sit a touch closer through the body. If you plan to wear a long-sleeve tee or a thermal underneath on cool spring evenings, or simply like extra room, go one size up. The Old-Time henley has a slightly longer body by design. Browse <a href=\"/collections/two-button-jerseys/\">two-button jerseys</a>.</p>\n<h3>Sleeveless jerseys</h3>\n<p>Sleeveless jerseys keep the button front and open the shoulders. Worn on their own, your usual size is right. If you want the old two-layer look over a tee, the vest-style jersey is already cut with a little extra room; the Summer Tournament jersey has side panels that give a slimmer look, so size up if you like it loose. Browse <a href=\"/collections/sleeveless-jerseys/\">sleeveless jerseys</a>.</p>\n<h2>4. Youth sizes YS to YXL</h2>\n<p>Youth jerseys are for school-age kids, from tee-ball through the first seasons of league play. Youth size letters do not match adult letters: a youth XL is smaller than an adult S. Children grow fast, so many families buy one size up and roll the sleeves for the first season.</p>\n<table class=\"policy-table\">\n<caption>Choosing a youth size</caption>\n<thead>\n<tr>\n<th scope=\"col\">Situation</th>\n<th scope=\"col\">What we suggest</th>\n</tr>\n</thead>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td>Your child&#8217;s current tees are youth M and fit well</td>\n<td>YM, or YL if you want it to last into next season</td>\n</tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Your child is between two youth sizes</td>\n<td>The larger size</td>\n</tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Your child has outgrown YXL tees</td>\n<td>Adult S from the adult range</td>\n</tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Matching a sibling or parent</td>\n<td>Choose each person&#8217;s own size; the colours match across youth and adult</td>\n</tr>\n</tbody>\n</table>\n<p>For a kids&#8217; jersey with their own name and number, see the <a href=\"/products/custom-youth-full-button-jersey/\">custom youth full-button jersey</a>; all youth styles are in <a href=\"/collections/youth-toddler-jerseys/\">Youth &amp; Toddler</a>.</p>\n<h2>5. Toddler sizes 2T, 3T and 4T</h2>\n<p>Toddler jerseys come in 2T, 3T and 4T. Toddler sizing varies a lot between brands, so measure a shirt that fits now using the flat method in section 1 and compare. If your little one is close to the next size, choose it; a slightly long jersey looks charming in photos and lasts the season. Toddler jerseys have real buttons, so an adult will need to help with the top one.</p>\n<h2>6. Caps and accessories</h2>\n<table class=\"policy-table\">\n<caption>Accessory sizes and options</caption>\n<thead>\n<tr>\n<th scope=\"col\">Item</th>\n<th scope=\"col\">Size or option</th>\n<th scope=\"col\">Notes</th>\n</tr>\n</thead>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td>Pinstripe dad cap</td>\n<td>One size</td>\n<td>Adjustable back strap, unstructured low-profile crown</td>\n</tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Stitch seam trucker cap</td>\n<td>One size</td>\n<td>Adjustable snapback, structured front</td>\n</tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Bleacher throw blanket</td>\n<td>50 x 60 in or 60 x 80 in</td>\n<td>60 x 80 in adds $15 and is big enough to share</td>\n</tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Ballpark pennant throw pillow</td>\n<td>18 x 18 in</td>\n<td>Square, with insert and zip cover</td>\n</tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Baseball stitch coffee mug</td>\n<td>11 oz or 15 oz</td>\n<td>15 oz adds $3</td>\n</tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Insulated tumbler</td>\n<td>20 oz</td>\n<td>Lid and straw included</td>\n</tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Scorebook tote</td>\n<td>One size</td>\n<td>Long shoulder handles</td>\n</tr>\n</tbody>\n</table>\n<p>To check a cap, wrap a soft tape around your head just above the ears and across the middle of the forehead. Adjustable caps fit most adult heads; if you know you usually need a youth or an extra-large cap, email us before ordering.</p>\n<h2>7. Sizing for a whole family or team</h2>\n<p>Ordering six or ten jerseys at once is where sizing mistakes multiply. A simple routine helps:</p>\n<ol>\n<li>Make a list with one line per person: name for the back, number, cut, colour and size.</li>\n<li>Ask each adult to compare with a shirt they own, and measure each child&#8217;s current tee.</li>\n<li>Check that youth and adult sizes are not mixed up — an older child may need adult S, not YXL.</li>\n<li>Place the order from the list, then compare the order confirmation email line by line.</li>\n</ol>\n<p>If something needs to change, you have 24 hours after ordering to adjust sizes free of charge; see <a href=\"/cancel-change-order/\">Cancel or Change an Order</a>.</p>\n<h2>8. Personalisation and size</h2>\n<p>Names of up to 12 characters can be entered on every size we offer. On smaller sizes such as toddler and youth jerseys, a long name naturally takes up more of the back, so if you want a bold look on a small jersey, a short name or nickname works well. The live preview on the product page shows the layout, not exact proportions, so use it to check spelling rather than size.</p>\n<h2>9. Buying a size as a gift</h2>\n<p>When a jersey is a surprise, you cannot always measure. Some quiet ways to find the right size:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>check the size label on a tee or hoodie the person wears often, the next time you are doing laundry or visiting;</li>\n<li>ask a partner, parent or sibling, who often knows the answer;</li>\n<li>for kids, ask the parent what size school tees they are buying this season;</li>\n<li>when in doubt, choose the larger size — a roomy jersey is still wearable, a tight one is not.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>The gift recipient can exchange the size within 60 days of delivery with a free return label, so a guess is never final.</p>\n<h2>10. Keeping the fit after washing</h2>\n<p>How you wash a jersey affects how it fits over time. To help it keep its shape and keep printed names and numbers looking crisp, wash it inside out in cold water on a gentle cycle, and hang it to dry rather than using a hot dryer. Do not iron directly over printed lettering. Following these habits means the size you choose on day one is still the size you are wearing at the end of the season.</p>\n<h2>11. Questions we hear about sizing</h2>\n<h3>Can an adult wear a youth XL?</h3>\n<p>Some smaller adults can, but youth jerseys are cut for children&#8217;s proportions, often shorter in the body. For an adult, adult S is usually the better choice.</p>\n<h3>Should I size up to wear a hoodie underneath?</h3>\n<p>For a full-button jersey worn open, your usual size is fine. For a two-button henley over a hoodie, choose one size up.</p>\n<h3>Are women&#8217;s and men&#8217;s sizes different?</h3>\n<p>Our apparel is unisex. If you usually wear women&#8217;s sizes, start one size down from your women&#8217;s size and compare with a shirt you own.</p>\n<h3>Do caps come in youth sizes?</h3>\n<p>Our caps are one adjustable adult size. Many older kids can wear them with the strap tightened; for very small heads, email us before ordering.</p>\n<h3>Why is there no numeric size chart here?</h3>\n<p>We would rather give you a method that works than a table that may not match your own shirt. Comparing with a garment that already fits you, as explained in section 1, tells you more than any chart, and we are always happy to look at your measurements and suggest a size by email.</p>\n<h2>12. If the size is wrong</h2>\n<p>It happens. Every item can be returned or exchanged within 60 days of delivery, and we send a free return label even when you simply chose the wrong size. Tell us the size you need when you start the return. Details are in our <a href=\"/returns-exchanges-policy/\">Returns &amp; Exchanges Policy</a>, and money matters in our <a href=\"/refund-policy/\">Refund Policy</a>.</p>\n<h2>13. Ask us about sizing</h2>\n<p>Email <a href=\"mailto:support@jerseyharbor.shop\">support@jerseyharbor.shop</a> with the product you are looking at and the measurements of a shirt that fits; we reply within 24 hours on business days. You can also browse the <a href=\"/faqs/\">FAQs</a> or the <a href=\"/help-center/\">Help Center</a>. A two-line email with a measurement is often all it takes to pick the right size the first time.</p>\n","visible_characters":10165,"meta_description":"How to choose a button-down baseball jersey size: measure a shirt that fits, adult S–3XL, youth YS–YXL, toddler 2T–4T, and how each cut fits.
